Yvette Marlene Gomez, 56, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, died peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, with family by her side. She was born on October 10, 1967, in Santa Fe to Betty A. and Tomás Clyde Gomez. She was known for lighting up a room with her infectious smile and always willing to lend a hand to those who needed it.
She is preceded in death by parents Betty and Tomás; grandparents Clyde and Anne Gomez and Antonia and Filemon Archuleta. She is survived by daughter, Desiree Martinez and grandson Isaiah Martinez.
She is also survived by siblings Thomas Jr. and Lisa; Yvonne; John and Margo; Adrian and Juan Martinez; and Jaclyn Gomez. She is also survived by Andrew Griego, Monique Gomez, Crystal and Martin Gonzales, Michelle Gomez, Leslie and Casey McElroy, Celeste Gomez, Nicolas Gomez, Lauryn Gomez, Faith Gomez, Matthew Gomez and Gabriella Gomez. Her great nieces and nephews are Lathan Coca, Olivia Coca, Mila Gonzales, Mason McElroy and Landon McElroy.
She had many relatives and friends who loved her, dearly. She was a loving mother, sister, friend, aunt, cousin and grandmother, known as Boo-Boo. Private services were held.
