Orlando "Sheik" Roybal

Orlando Sheik Roybal was a life long resident of Santa Fe, NM, born on April 22, 1948 passed away March 13, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

Survived by his wife Margie; his beloved daughter Angelina Roybal; his charished grandson Ivan 'Romero' Roybal; his two adored granddaughters, Dawnica and DeAnna Roybal; his sister Margaret (Ernie) Patterson; brother-in-law Don D'Andrea; special niece Bernadette (Tony) Cariaga; his nephew's, Ray Trujillo, Pat & Mathew Patterson; his extended family from South Carolina; three stepsons; and many step grandchildren.

Orlando 'Sheik' was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Laura Roybal; his son Nick Roybal; his sister Dora D'Andrea; and his brother Dave Roybal.

Orlando 'Sheik' In his early years he was interested and worked in the law enforcement field. He went on to work for the county housing and retired from there. He stayed involved with the community and started working for the Santa Fe Senior meals on wheels.

Sheik was a devoted catholic and very charming. He loved his family and always made time for them. He also loved riding his motorcycle, camping was a past time favorite of his, and he loved traveling.

Sheik liked helping and being part of getting things done he kept busy volunteering his time to the less fortunate whether it be in Mexico or feeding at a local homeless shelter. 9 gave generously in life and in his final act of kindness he continued to do so in death providing the gift of healing to others as a skin graph donor.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March, 21, at Santa Fe Funerals & Cremations 1091 Siler Rd. Visitation 5:00-6:00 Rosary 6:00-7:00

A celebration of life will be on Saturday, March 22, at 11:00 am Freedom Church 3732 Cerrillos Rd.
