Louella Denise Maes

February 10, 1982 – October 24, 2023.

Louella D. Maes, known to many as Ella, age 41, left this world on October 24, 2023.

Louella was born on February 10, 1982. She grew up in Santa Fe, NM, attended Santa Fe High, and then worked  for many years as a nurses assistant. She was hard working, caring, and always went above and beyond to ensure her patient’s needs were met. Louella dedicated her life to her children who were her universe. Louella was a kind, generous, curious, and free-spirited person who enjoyed listening to music, watching movies with her children, studying latest fashion trends, and hanging out with friends and family.

Louella is survived by a long list of people who loved her, including but not limited to her fiancé Nathan Gonzales; children, daughters, Arianna and Alexandra Mladosich, Autumn Valenzuela, and Aubriella and Ava Gonzales, and son Angelo Mladosich; and
mother and stepfather, Sandra Gallegos’ Payne and Douglas Payne. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends for her loving spirit and sense of humor.

A celebration of her life and rosary will be held at the Santa Fe Funeral & Cremations on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00pm, and a separate Rosary and Mass will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, with a reception to follow.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Gonzales, Angelo Mladosich, Dylan Lucero, Jeremiah Lucero, Douglas Payne, and David Gallegos III.
