Joaquin J. Tapia 38, passed away October 16, 2023, surrounded by his family. He is home in the glory of our Heavenly Father.
Joaquin was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and hanging out with family and friends. He was a kind and loving light that left us all to soon.
Joaquin is preceded in death by his father and brother Joaquin and Vincent Tapia. He is survived by his mother Anna Rodriguez, step-father John "OJ" Ojinaga, sisters Jolene Tapia and Cecilia Tapia (Richard Williams), niece's Layla Romero and Faith Tapia, Aunt Helen Valdez (Orlando).
A special thank you to Barbara Tubb and Elizabeth Medina from Legacy Hospice for your never ending love and compassion. To all Joaquin's friends for your love and support and to all who came and prayed and gave us love and comfort, we can never thank you enough.
Services will be held on Saturday October 28, 2023 at St. Anne's Church, 511 Alicia St., Santa Fe. Rosary at 10:00am, Funeral at 11:00am., with a reception to follow at the Parish hall. Pallbearer's will be; Andrew Rodriguez, Freddy Martinez, Gabe Maturine, Michael Prada, Izaiah Medina and Stevie Peterson.
