Dennis Arturo Peralta, age 63, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones to join our heavenly father. Dennis was born on July 10, 1961, in Embudo, NM, to Simon and Marcia Peralta.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years Matilda Peralta, loving father to Denise Peralta and Audrey Peralta (Companion Patrick), proud Pampo to grandsons Jaziah Peralta Sanchez, Dennis Peralta III, and Ezekiel Peralta. Brother Simon Peralta (Linda), sisters; Francella Martinez (Clyde), and Ana Peralta, Uncle Orlando Peralta (Roberta), godchildren; Dominique Martinez, David Ryan Jr, and nephew Lorenzo Lujan, confirmation sponsor to nephew Nicholas "Dude" Peralta, In-laws; Roberto and Novella Hernandez, sister- in- law: Veronica Hernandez de Lujan (Daniel). Dennis grew up in Taos, graduated from Taos High School, moved to Las Cruces to attend NMSU and graduated with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, later becoming a Professional Engineer. He moved to Santa Fe after graduation and started work with the Highway Department, where he retired after 25 years. Dennis then went to work for San Felipe Pueblo for 12 years. Dennis enjoyed taking long rides on his Harley accompanied by Matilda, Dennis Jr and on occasion his brother and nephews. He enjoyed and cherished all the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. When Dennis wasn’t with them, you could find him looking on the internet to see what machines, trailers, or cars he could buy to turn around and sell. In the summer you could find him at their property in Abiquiu camping and out on the lake. In the winter you would find him out hunting and snowmobiling. Dennis was a mentor and was respected by many people in his community, personally and professionally. He was a very generous man, generous with everything he had. If he didn’t have it, he would find it for you. Dennis was very welcoming, not just to his family but to his friends as well.
